Season 38 was a milestone for Maidaan Master as the club continued its upward trajectory in Norway's first division, finishing 8th in a thrilling photo finish with Serpens Comets. Both clubs ended the season with 47 points, but Maidaan Master edged out their rivals on goal difference, thanks to a resounding 5-0 home victory over the Comets, a match that saw the fans play a pivotal role in the team's success.

The season showcased the brilliance of several key players, both permanent and on loan. Jan Ejlersen, the Danish goalkeeper, was a standout, securing three clean sheets in his four appearances. "Jan's presence between the posts gave us immense confidence," said club captain Shamar Nicholson. Another impactful loanee was Luis Rivera, the Chilean center forward, who netted six crucial goals throughout the season. "Luis added a new dimension to our attack," remarked assistant manager Karl Hansen.

Tenzin Dorji continued to astonish everyone, securing the Defender of the Season award for the second consecutive year. "Tenzin is a rock at the back," lauded manager Darshan Shinde. Dorji's defensive prowess, with 17 clean sheets in 30 matches, was a cornerstone of Maidaan Master's solid campaign. Meanwhile, Riccardo Orsolini emerged as the club's superstar, scoring 19 goals and dazzling fans with his consistent performances. "Riccardo's flair and finishing have been crucial for us," Shinde acknowledged.

However, the season was not without its challenges. Allegations surfaced that Maidaan Master was overpricing its players in the transfer market, leading to financial instability as sales stagnated. "The financial stress was evident, and it hampered our ability to maneuver in the market," admitted club treasurer Ryan Johnson. In response, Shinde sought guidance from fellow managers on player valuation, a move that paid off significantly.

Two of the club's most promising young goalkeepers were sold at record prices, helping stabilize the finances. Aheibam Suraj Singh, a 17-year-old goalkeeper, was sold for a club-record $78 million, while 19-year-old Mustafë Abdullahu fetched $38 million. "It was a difficult decision, but we had to balance our squad and finances," Shinde explained. These sales have provided the club with over $100 million to invest in new talent, and Shinde is actively scouting the market for a potential superstar signing during the break.

Reflecting on the season, Shinde remarked, "This year has been a great learning experience and rewarding in many ways. We've shown that we can compete at the highest level and maintain our position in the top half of the table." The fans, too, are optimistic about the future. "Maidaan Master is evolving, and we are excited for what's next," said long-time supporter Ingrid Larsen.

As Season 38 draws to a close, Maidaan Master stands poised for greater achievements. With a solid foundation, a mix of experienced and young talents, and a rejuvenated financial position, the club is ready to embark on the next chapter of its remarkable journey in Norwegian football.
