FC Versailles 78 says goodbeye to a living legend, Victoried Adebayor.

After 585 games, 798 goals, 19 assists, and 179 Man of the Match performances our esteemed club is losing one of the greatest players in our history.

Victorien Adebayor, a loyal and life-long member of the club since the age of 17 in season 13, has come and conquered almost everything.

Victorien gave it all in his final season to bring to Versailles what the fans have been yearning for season after season: a global competition cup. He labored and did his best, but the club failed in agonizing fashion. In the final of the Champions Cup, the club lost on penalties to American Texas FC.

Here is what Victorien said about his career - "I was blessed to be at this club, and it was made all the more beautiful by what we won and what we accomplished this season. No one could have predicted our team to get to the final of the Champions Cup, yet we did it. Thank you to the fans and club."

Here is what his coach had to say - "We are incredibly sad to see Victorien go. He is the heart and soul of our attack. A huge gap to fill next season. If I could have 11 of him, I would empty our coffers to make it happen."
