welcome everyone to this update from our glorious team for season 5.
First, everyone has recovered from the parties after winning the playoffs. Was not the way we wanted to go up, but we made more money from the extra games, and we did reach Division 1. We sends our thanks to Melton and Montoya, the latter of which got 9 man of the matches, and was the highest rated player in the division.

next, we have decided to keep it safe for our first run up here, so are just aiming to not go straight back down, through we wonder if 8th is not beyond our reach.

Finally we have decided to have a major shake up of the system, namely we have decided to move away from the 4-3-3. After looking through our games, and that of a number of others, we have decided to switch to running more midfielders. With this mind we are attempting to move on our WF's to teams that will be better able to utilise them. As we speak, we have an active bid on Gimpel of 104 million, which will be a club record. we wish him better success with his new team, and a shelf full of medals with his new team. Both Battle and Taha will be given some game time while we wait for interest in them to appear/we have the space to put them both on the market at once.
So what does that mean? Well, it means we need to start hiring. We have a laundry list of types of players we would like to add.
The most pressing is the obvious one, we have only 1 CF, but likely to play with 2 most of the time. We need to locate a Div 1 capable striker, or a kid that will be there very quickly.
We also have the issue of 5 midfielders to fill at least 4 slots, so we need a more experienced AM, and another DM at some point to give us options and cover for breaks.
After that a young prospect CF would be nice, both as a sub, and for the future. We also are short of Div 1 capable CB's, with 1 active, and 1 in training. We won't know how bad this issue is until the season starts, but a ready to go Defender will help shore up that line as well.

This is the second reason why we are playing safe with expectations, as this will be a restructure year, so we expect some issues as players come and go.

I think that covers everything... hang on, we also managed to go to YA3, TG5(soon to be 6), and completed the stadium upgrade, so we can now house 25k fans for our home games, good or bad, and we intend to have a YA4 soon(to stop 19 year old spawns), and maybe a 30k stadium if we think they is enough interest to fill it, otherwise better training grounds.

Thank you for coming out, and here's to our debut season in the top flight of English football.
