Whew. 15 league matches completed, and the Spitfires are 3-2-10. All 3 wins coming only in the last 4 matches. The schedule loaded most of my tough matches up front, and we started 0-0-7 before finally getting a draw. The recent wins pulled us out of the tailspin and dragged us up to 14th in the table.

Meanwhile, more disaster in Cup play. Did not get out of Group in CC, which was to be expected, and when those loses were combined with the horrible Division 1.1 start, team morale was a dumpster fire, lol The we were out in the Round 1 of the League Cup where we drew Stefan. And out of NatTrophy after one match. On the plus side, no Cup matches eliminates juggling lineups for the rest of the season!

We've given up more goals than last season, which again was expected as our 18 year-old GK is playing full time now. The shock is the inability to score goals. CF Nasser won league scoring honors last season with 50 goals in 29 matches. This season only 9 in 15 matches. Everyone else on the team has combined for zero/zip/nada goals. Nasser is the same player, and the AMs are the same, and team orders and formations are roughly the same. We didn't score our first goal until the 6th match. I have no idea what happened. The good-ish news is we are only a couple of points out of 12th, which would meet our sponsor goal and quality us for $11M in sponsor cash at the end of the season - so that is our goal. I hope everyone else is having more fun than I am. XD
