It was a remarkable day for football, and a remarkable day for the Spanish Primera Division. The two close rivals in CF Villaverde and Zidan XI met head to head at the "Campo" or Campo Villaverde in a tense affair that would decide the outlook of the table. Prior to this meeting, the home side had never defeated their rivals in any competition before. This changed after 90 minutes were finalized. An early goal from Ahmed Faez in the third minute was followed by Munaf Warncock's 71st minute strike to give the Verde y Amarilla the massive win over their fierce opponents.

"I think the boys played a thorough and dominant game out there today. The intensity and passion was impressive from the opening whistle. I am very proud of what they have achieved out there today", said a joyous Tyler in the following press conference. Truthfully so, this was the case. CF Villaverde maintained a dominant 60%-40% in the possession count will out shooting Zidan XI 20-7. It was quite the display.

This result literally blows the Primera's title race wide open. Villaverde has now climbed to second in the table following Dandy Pirates away draw against Triangulum Marauders. The top three teams in the division are level on 55 points with only 6 games to spare. This surely will be a title race to pay close attention to in the upcoming rounds.

We have also decided to continue the good run of news by presenting Villaverde's impressive run in the Copa de Espana. Following a tense affair against Mugiwaras Team, the green and yellows advanced to the semi finals of the competition with a 2-0 win. Next round they will compete against Warriors de Leganes in what promises to be nothing short of an important match.

Stay tuned to another press release come the end of the season where we will evaluate the good, the bad, and the ugly of CF Villaverde's second season in F4Football! Thank you for reading.
