Justin Holden, manager of Jong Ajax in the Netherlands division 2 league, has released the following written statement to the press:
"I tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend despite being fully vaccinated and boosted. That's right, I am a walking billboard for Pfizer and still contracted the virus anyway. I may not be able to manage my club effectively until I am recovered. I will try my best.
On a different subject, I have plans to move to a fresh league after more leagues get added to F4Football. It is my preference to be somewhere that all managers can start on a level playing field. I feel this is a much better situation than playing catch up against managers who have had a one year head start building up their clubs. After making the move, I will notify other managers to come join me. Given my intentions, I am now being viewed as more of an interim manager at Jong Ajax. The board is aware that I do not intend to stay at this club long-term."
