I think once the league season has ended (round 49) then managers should be free to send the loan players back to their parent clubs if they so wish to. There is no adverse effect to xp gained and the only impact is that the parent club pay the wages again for the final few rounds, don’t see it being a major issue personally?

I would appreciate even the slighets bit of gain from getting experience from the last cup games, and it will not cost the lenders anything to keep the players for a little longer.
Regarding the penalty for returning the players too soon I don't think there should be any. This could just be an agreement that we invest just a little time to make sure the owning club don't have any important matches left before returning the players.
