I just got knocked out in the Challengers Trophy but I don't know how.

1st match at home, we won 1-0

2nd match away, the other team were up 1-0 at full-time so it went into extra time. we scored and then they scored so final result was 2-1 to them.

So it ended with a win a piece and the aggregate score was 2-2. I don't know what the rules are, can somebody tell me please how I got knocked out. Cheers

There should be penalties or you should be the winner due to the away goal rule. Send a message for Tegimus through Support Centre.

Weird... by the old rules you should have passed (more away goals), by the new rules you have gone to penalties as the away goals no longer count for 2.

That match should have gone to penalties. It's surely a bug, inform tegimus

I don't know if the away goals rule still stands, but even if it doesn't I would be ok with Neil going through if there is no easy technical solution (replacing penalties with a friendly match on a neutral ground maybe?)

I just read the result of the investigation. It is a bug, my game should have gone to penalties. It sounds a bit hard to replay the game so I'll get some sort of compensation

As I have said before, if there is an option to manually put you through to the next round I am ok with that.

You two are classy people. No anger, no insults, no back-and-forth. Good, honest people just looking for a resolution. Shame this happened to you guys. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Where is the rule about this topic written? Last season I got knocked out by away goal rule, at the end the team that passed me won the champions cup, I assumed that's the rule in the game.

The way I see it is that without fair play there is no satisfaction in competing.
On top of that, we are here to relax and enjoy a game from a dying breed :)

I've seen some cup results in the past (for other teams, not mine) that didn't really make sense to me, but can't remember specifics now. The losing teams never complained, so I figured everything was legit, but this makes me wonder.

It is away goals rule if score is tied after both legs then extra time, then penalties. In this match both teams won 1-0 at home so no away goals. And extra time was 1-1. So it had to go to penalties but it didn't. But I can confirm I have seen matches like this before and it actually went to penalties so it must be some one off kind of a bug. Even my auper cup match last round had similar result and it went to penalties but in that one the extra time result was 0-0
