Our company was hit by some legal problems and will be taken over by new management soon. This was the reason we had to stop receiving payments since one month and it is not going to be likely to be resolved in near future. Many of you had raised support tickets regarding the same, and I could not respond to it because the situation was not clear to me and I was not in a position to answer them.

As you all know, this game was a personal hobby project for me, and I never meant to fully commercialize it. However, when I introduced subscriptions and paid features in the game a couple of years ago, I decided to do it under the company account. But now it has led to legal complications and the game including the domain name is registered under the company.

I would still try to run the game as a non-commercial website. All features which were previously available to F4Football Plus members only, will be made free for all users starting next season. But I am not sure what the future of this game would be as I am not the sole owner of the game's assets now. I am as worried as you all are about the game getting discontinued in future, but I would try to find a way to get around it and run it in my personal capacity if possible. But I cannot make any promises about that and we will figure out that only as things get along.

This came at a time when we were starting to build a decent community in the game and it was getting popular. But some things are not in your control and I have to accept it. Some of our users were here for a long time and I sincerely extend my thanks to all of our users for giving us amazing support all this while.

So please keep playing the game if you still like it, what is in store in future we will see when it comes by.

You could try to create a new game, based on this one, and try to leave it out of the legal complications that affected F4. And so we would abandon this one and join this new F4 where we would know that it will continue

God Bless you and your family Tegimus during the holidays. I think you had positive and good intentions during this game's journey, and I think most of us recognize it. I think communication of this issue would have been a big relief to everyone earlier...although I recognize you may have been limited in what you could share. I'll definitely stick around and encourage others to do the same. This is part of the growing pains of a football game community, and hopefully things will be brighter on the other side.

This sounds a good solution. Make it commercial I dont mind, so you have more money to make the game better, just dont make it pay to win.
Anyways I will and I am sure most of us will support this game until the very end.

can we think of ways to replicate this community somewhere else? like a discord server?

bcz as i assume, one day this website will stop working, and there will be no way to contact tegimus or anyone among us.

if we have a discord server, we can keep discussing, and it can fill the gap between closing of this game and starting of new game

there was one at one point made by a few players, but it wasn't very well organized and I even stopped participating it. I don't mind making another one that's a bit more well-structured, but I would only do it with Tegimus's explicit permission and agreement to help with it.

That's not a premium feature. You pay for a premium subscription, and you pay to change your team badge, so they are two separate things that you pay for. I still spent coins to change my team badge even when I was subscribed. My Hall of Fame is back up, so it does look like the features have been unlocked.

If you can’t buy coins, there’s no sense in anything requiring coins. Everything should be unlocked until coins can be purchased again

Agreed. I'm just saying that it didn't fall under what Tegimus explicitly promised, so it didn't mean that nothing had been unlocked at that point.
