How was the xp gains so far this season everyone?

For me, my team gained a total of 90xp after I have played all competitive and xp enabled custom matches. A bit on the lower side compared to my 102xp last season, partly due to me getting eliminated in the group stages in champions cup and first round of league cup. Also accidentally played my first lineup in a few friendlies where I was supposed to play my xp-gain lineup, also played a backup team in one of my league matches. Minutes for my youth players were also limited as the league was too competitive this season compared to the last one, and my youth GK never actually played in competitive matches apart from 4 or 5 towards the end of the season. I also had loaned in a good WB who played in all competitive matches and CF who played all tough matches since I didn't have many options to replace my retiring players at end of last season or start of this season.

But overall I am happy with my gains for my youth:

The 3 players I was focusing on got +26 between them
Luis Allen - 17yr old WB - 22 to 33 (+11)
Bedford Ayyub - 19 yr old DM - 34 to 43 (+9)
Loy Syed - 20 yr old GK - 39 to 45 (+6)

2 players on loan got +6 each
Clemens Wasim - 24yr old CB - 56 to 62
Ellery Meler - 23 yr old CB - 47 to 53

Other young players (26 yrs or below) got 21 between them but they played almost every minute possible.
Ubaid Trochowski - 26 yr old WM - 70 to 75 (+5)
Kiki Bridges - 25 yr old WF - 63 to 70 (+7)
Phillip Goodman - 25 yr old CF - 54 to 63 (+9) - he could have had more, but I used my loaned in CF who was much better rated in some of my tougher matches.

Hope you all had a good season too. Show off your gains here if you dont mind ;)

Mine gained 105 xp in total, which is quite pleasing given the average age of the squad and no Champions Cup / Super Cup presence.

Most notable increases:
Yard Bruce - 21yr old GK - 47 to 55 (+8)
Theo Hernandez - 19yr old WB - 29 to 38 (+9)
Alejandro Sonny - 22yr old CB - 38 to 46 (+8)

Worth noting that this was the first season I managed to have a squad size that allowed me to loan out two players, both of which earned +6 each.

Only 77 for my league 3 team

Not sure if the current system is very fair as yuo are getting penalised for being a smaller weaker team

All this will do will make the gap between the strongest and weakest teams even bigger

Mine gained 91xp total.
Having a good amount of bot in Italian div 1.1, playing no international cup and being eliminated early in both cups i think that is a good result.
The highest increase is +7 on a few players
Jimmy Socias - 17yo WB - from 18 to 25 (+7)
Jerome Shawcross - 27yo WM - from 57 to 64 (+7)
Alex Belingeri 16yo CF - from 19 to 26 (+7)

and 4 players got +6, like the 2 loaned out

92xp gain so far across 20 players

Quite negatively affected by the switch in leagues and having 10 bot teams in the division. Had to play a lot of my youngsters in both league and friendlies to get decent gains, but the older players barely gained at all.

Biggest gainers were:
CF Syed Rahim 17yo from 21 to 32 (+11)
GK Shareef Spearing 21yo from 33 to 42 (+9)
WB Rameez Burgess 21yo from 43 to 52 (+9)
WB Youssouf Kemp 21yo from 44 to 52 (+8)

My two loan players were ok but not amazing
CF Hoyt Helguera 18yo from 19 to 25 (+6)
AM Hal Heitinga 19yo from 20 to 26 (+6)

Your problem is that you do not have many high xp players in your team. It is actually easier to gain xp in weaker leagues since you can play your training team in all competitive matches too without worrying about losing.

When you have the money, you should aim at bringing in some old high xp players to help your youngsters gain xp. Don't look at their rating, consider them as "xp coaches" to get your squad average xp up so that your lower xp players can benefit from that. Since you squad is small and your bank balance is not high enough, I think you should take it step by step. You should try to reduce the number of low xp players you are training - keep 4 or 5 highest potential/learning ones and then sell the rest. With that money buy some high xp old players for cheap. Once your young players are decent, sell them and replace with your youth academy players. This is the easiest way for accumulating money.

This way you will have good bank balance by the time your facilities are at decent level and you can look to strengthen squad when you are ready for promotion.

94 XP gained so far.

Maybe I should consider also joining in on the loaning out of players :)

My old striker Ike Haneef gained the most, from 36 to 47 (+11)!

Thanks for this and understand.
How many players the total experience points covers would be great to understand for an average per player? My 77xp is based on 19players so averaging 4xp a player.

How does everyone else's compare to that?

I have another 7xp games to play. 94xp gained so far. I expect the total to be around 104. 25 players in my squad - several will gain about 10.

One of them plays in all games gaining about 0.15 in friendlies, another two play in some competitive games and gain about 0.25 in friendlies.

My team gained 108 Xp in total. Quite a good one, considering I was eliminated quite early in the cups

87 for me - had 6 with my maximum of 7 - I don't go out of my way much for xp - all the players who played in the majority of my games are trainees - some have just been trainees for longer.

None of them really losing pace with their skills increase so I am pretty relaxed about it being lower.

Ideally you will have 11 first teamers and 3 subs. These 14 players might or might not include the youth players you are developing, I always keep my 3 youths in the sub and bring them on when I have comfortable lead or is definitely losing.
Then you have your second (training) lineup for your friendlies. This must have a balance of high xp and low xp players to keep average squad xp high. And your low xp players should play every minute possible. You can sub your high xp players for other high xp players if you want to manage fitness but your low xp players should play full match.

I normally aim at around 40-50xp gains total for my low xp players, don't care too much about gains of other players. The higher your total xp gains are, the more your loaned out players will also gain.

19 players is a bit too much in my opinion, you will get more gains per player if you focus on 14-15 players only. But in the end it is all about each manager's taste, you might gain slower with 19 players but you develop more players at the same time.

This was my best season for xp gains so far.

4 youth trainees (under 21) gained +12, +11, +11 and +10 xp
3 young first teamers (under 26) gained +7, +5 and +4 xp
2 loanees gained +6 and +5 xp

Total xp gained by squad = 92
% of total to young players = 71 / 92 = 77.17%
