Any news on the game development?
This is a rough plan down the road. I know things look a bit delayed due to some mess up we did in setting up the framework for the new backend. But all well now and work is progressing at pace.
1. New user interface and backend
We are completely focused on this now, and all other work will be pending until this is done and rolled out. User interface doesn't mean anything fancy, but simpler and easier to use. Also backend is being rewritten in better technology for faster access and to lay down foundation for a mobile app in the near future. Website will also enable multiple languages, we are planning to launch with two languages with the framework in place to add more languages easily down the road.
Estimated deadline is season 40 give or take a couple of seasons. We had planned this for season 36 but unfortunately we are behind schedule.
2. Match simulator update
This will be a complete rework of the current match engine, which is already in progress. We were looking at the possibility of a 2d viewer but that looks not possible at this point, but we will be trying to include some kind of graphics too to make the match reports better. New sim will take care of a lot of drawbacks in the current simulator - like fixing the fitness/stamina model and giving more importance to tactics. This should be ready within 2-3 seasons after the user interface launch.
3. Other Features
There are plenty on our list, but major are updates to the staff system, team facility time and costs updates, more uses for medical centre etc. These will be done and launched as seasonal updates as we used to do before, we were pushing new updates every season or every other season until we started working on the major UI update.
And apologies for no updates for the past few seasons, hopefully the game will see big improvements in the near future.
