Tegimus - is the xp calculator working correctly?

If it is can you please explain how my loan players got the xp they did asI make it that they should have received 0.1 but they only got 0.07?

As has been said on two threads and in the Live Chat - it's getting changed back but will take a couple of days.

Just turn off your experience in your custom games and set your first team as the default and you won't have to login again until its fixed

Or you can select and save a tactic for the first few friendlies. It is free for friendlies, dont need a membership

It is 75% of total xp gained by your own players divided by 11.
In the match you gave above, it is
10.6 * 0.75 / 11 = 0.07227
Sometimes, it is slightly off, you get 0.01 plus or minus. When I asked tegimus about it, he said it is due to rounding off but generally the above formula works 99% of the time.

If that's the case the tutorial description needs changing as it says equal to not 75%....:

The players who are on loan gain experience based on the matches of their OWN club, regardless of whether he gets playing time at his current club. In every match of his own team (both regular and custom matches), they gain experience equal to the average of experience gained by the players who played in that match. Even if the player returns from loan, he will continue to gain experience the same way as if he was still at his loaned club until the end of the season.

Fathima is right, the gains were always 75% of average total experience gained in the match by your own players. So the tutorial is indeed a bit misleading. Thanks for pointing that out Michael. Will be fixed soon.

I can't believe it's taken me 4 seasons of matches to realise tbh lol

Tell me, please, why it says "your team will be moved to division 2 or lower" in my request? I thought that's the case only if there's no bot teams in the division 1.

Normally you cannot move from/to division 1, this was only allowed for moves to new countries when they were created. But if you have a good case to do so, I suggest writing to support or contacting an admin.

I started the game from Div2, even tho there were 7 bot teams in div1. But of course, your case is different. You might want to write to support about it.

Thank you both! I'm asking this because I saw that team from Spain went straight to division 1 of Malaysia.

Reporting a possible BUG/Issiue: The "Use Current Tactics" doesn't work for Custom Matches.

I suspected something like that might happen so I made a simple experiment to prove it.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Set a "Friendly" tactic to be played for Custom Matches.
2. Set the COMPETITION >> Custom Matches to "Friendly"
3. COMPETITION >> My Matches >> Custom Matches >> "Pick an upcoming game" >> Set Options as "Use_Current_Tactic"
4. Go to Tactics, LOAD Friendly but change places of players(#10 and #30). SAVE.

Expected behavior: My current tactic should be used for that match.
What happened: General Behavior overrides the match options.

This match was set to "Selected Tactics Use Current Tactics":https://www.f4football.com/matches/report/86695

As you can see, the game used the Friendly tactic again, despite my choice. A new player might be confused by this behavior. The current system disables the option to use the Current tactic for a single match.

Possible Solution: Adding an extra "Use Default Custom Match Tactics" option in the Game Preview >> Options section, which will be the default setting. This way, the user might still use the Current Tactic for a single Custom Match if they want.

This is actually the expected behaviour.

For a regular match, if no saved tactics is selected from Match Preview > Options, then the default loaded tactics (one shown on your Tactics page) will be used. If any saved tactics was selected then that will be used.

For a custom match:
1. First preference is for the saved tactics selected in Match Preview > Options.
2. If no saved tactics was selected in Match Preview > Options, then it checks for any selection made in Custom Matches page.
3. If no saved tactics was selected in Custom Matches page too, then the default tactics shown in Tactics page is used.

The confusion here is the wording "Use Current Tactics". It actually means there is "No Preference", doesn't mean to actually use the default one. In regular matches, it doesn't make any difference but for custom matches, if you say "No preference" it actually checks the next level which is the one selected in Custom Matches page.

I will change the wording to "No Preference" instead of "Use Current Tactics" to avoid this confusion. Adding another option to use default loaded tactics as you suggested might just make it harder to comprehend.

To be honest, I didn't actually look at those tickets till now. I will have a look and update this weekend.

I don't know whether I should expect a response to this or whether I just want to moan, but this season (in common with all my seasons in Div.1) I have been statistically 'unlucky' - to the point where it obviously can't be luck, but I have no idea what the issue is and there appears to be no way of working it out that I can see.

I haven't kept stats from previous seasons but this season I have had 18 wins and 15 games where I haven't won.

I have never won a game where my opponent has had more shots or more shots on target than I have. 2 of my wins I was equal with my opponent.

In my 15 non-wins my opponent has had more shots/more shots on target than me on 3 occasions. We were equal once and I have had more in 11 of those games

Over those 15 games my opponents have had 28 shots, 10 on target for 8 goals whereas I have had 62 shots, 24 on target for 2 goals.

I had 8 nil-nils - if I ignore the nil-nils my opponents had 16 shots, 10 on target for 8 goals to my 24 shots, 9 on target for 2 goals

In the nil-nils my opponents had 12 shots, zero on target whereas I had 38 shots, 15 on target for zero goals.

I tend to play a higher possession game than my opponents albeit not always on mixed but I'm confident that it's not style of play (if you assume that mixed generates better quality chances).

So what is it?

Is there something about my Keeper or Shooters that is bad that I am not aware of - something unseen or that I'm just not taking into account?

My keeper has only saved 2 shots so far this season so it doesn't look great for him and he is below my team average rating, but he's over 70 - he's not a complete rabbit - he's a 4.5/5 with 2 aggression, 3 leader, 2.5 flair, 4.5 flex, 3.5 right, 2.5 left. Does aggression make a difference for GK saves? He's also only been 1st choice for 2 seasons and it was the same pattern with the previous keeper too.

On the shooter front - too much hard work to compile as the game doesn't store shot info, but overall I would say my current 1st team is not overly blessed with flair - does that mean my chances are potentially worse - i thought it would impact chances created more to be honest.

Is there something about my tactics that generates bad shots so statistically I look fine (look like the better team), but it is always going to be ineffective?

Is it too easy to get a nil-nil when you're the weaker team and that is distorting my results?

Interested in everyone's thoughts but especially interested in hearing from Tegimus if this is the sort of pattern they would expect and if there is something I'm not factoring in that I should?

Have looked at only a couple of your games quickly, but think your weakness is indeed creating quality chances. How good are your attackers' flair?

Try swapping Chip Sweeney/Ameen Shahid positions, and try to play Syed Griffiths at AML instead of FL. Don't expect to make a huge difference but worth trying it though. I will look at your games when I have more time to see where you are leaking goals from.
