My first teamers all have wages in the mid-80's and I'm sure they are low in comparison to the big teams. My finances are still too easy to manage if anything - need some financial restrictions to hit us at some level.

So no, I don't think so 50-60 is uber cheap

Edit: Ah Rounds not around.....lol..... I still think financial management too easy - it may bite us at some point but you get your prize money week 50 so don't see the issue even then....

Yes. GKs seems to lose too less fitness per match, if the opponent team doesn't get many attacks my GK often ends up with 99 after the match.

As Michael said, there are lots of funds incoming after round 50 - league bonus, prize money from league and other competitions. And sponsorship per round is still paid, so don't see any real issue there.

I did a quick check on the mobile website, and everything seems to be working fine. We hadn't changed anything on the basic layout etc. recently either.

Can you let me know a few more details so that I can dig into it further, like which operating system and browser, was it the same device and browser on which it was working fine before, and when did it start causing this issue.

I'm using Galaxy A52s and Chrome 110.0.5481.154.
Started yesterday.
At first I thought that Chrome update broke something, but apparently last update was in February.
I tried Firefox after Fathima said that everything is ok with her device and Firefox works fine.
Nothing happens when I switch between Desktop and Mobile sites in browser settings, so maybe it's trying to show Desktop all the time.
I'll try to clean cache and reboot, maybe it's my device acting out.

ouch - you were right and my assumption that people go into div 1 like last season was wrong - although in Australias case it looks like they had enough to fill div 1 from last years div 2's anyway - or maybe it was first in first served rather than by team rating.

To make matters worse the 3 established teams that opted to relocate to Australia have been put in the same division so one of us will be screwed for two seasons rather than one - crazy on paper.

The ridiculously low level of bot experience and/or the reliance on opposition decisions outside of your control to be able to develop your players is a real killer in these circumstances.

Effectively I have a generation of players development compromised - I'd loan out my top guys that are going to be completely screwed in terms of xp but then I'd be ensuring I finish 3rd and screw my players for two seasons rather than one.

Unfortunately two other teams are capable of winning too. Financially I'd wager at most its an $18m financial hit, but as you say (unless I'm unlucky with draws/games) I should reduce that through cup runs.

I have consciously structured my squad differently to you in that all my players (that play) are trainees. The older trainees are the ones that supply my xp -admittedly a fair bit lower than the xp you get but enough to match (for the most part) the pace of their training - just a different way of trying to build a squad.

The theory was that it might take longer to get a decent team but I had hoped it would be a team that peaked higher (given the lack of decent players available on the transfer market)- losing at least 1 season of xp development on my top players pretty much knocks that possibility.

I'd jack this squad in, sell them all and start again but the taxman would get all my money - the guard rails in this game are pretty tight - it feels like we're on a hamster wheel for the most part.

one of my league-mates has dropped 8 in rating since preseason started and is down to 16 players....

Not the sort of thing I would usually notice but as there are only two of them it kind of jumps out.

Player ratings were fixed by tegimus an hour or two after season started - you will know this if you see the main chat.
Down to 16 players - not sure about that. That would have happened because of player retirements at season change. If he doesn't have 16 players for a match, he will get filler players but they will be pretty useless (old and low rated). Can't sell them either coz they will have 0 value.

Just to improve my mood on my move I see I got bumped from Div 1 by someone who got promoted to Div 1 last season so theoretically shouldn't have been able to relocate.

That will teach me to wait until I was certain that I couldn't promote before putting the request in.

Might loan out my top guy and take the risk on holding onto second now that the rating change knocked back my opponent.

On a completely different subject - have you seen any impact on player performance from being on the wrong side for their foot - it seems like all my FBs/WMs are lefties and I hadn't noticed - hadn't noticed any big difference in performance rating, but I don't read the full match reports.....

Not any huge difference that I noticed, but I have seen players with atleast one foot at 5 star perform better than a similar player with a lower rating for his best foot.
My theory is that - for defenders, it depends more on the foot rating of the attacker you are up against and whether he is deployed on wrong side or not. Tegimus confirmed before that players on wrong side as their foot will succeed more in cutting inside, and on the same side as their foot will succeed better with crosses. He didn't mention there is any penalty for playing on the wrong side.
For wingers I normally deploy them on their stronger foot's side to get more crosses in. But last season (and this season too) my CF is not the best so I put them on wrong side. I could see them shoot more, but didnt score many so I will have to try something different this season.
