@tegimus there is a big problem!!!!

the time of the official matches has been moved forward by one hour, while that of the friendlies has not!!!! Now the friendlies are before the official matches and it's a disaster!

The daylight savings time kicked in for a big part of the world a day ago, which is the last Sunday of March. But this has absolutely no impact on our match times, and no match times have been changed as such. Our servers run on UTC or universal time which is not dependent on any timezones.

If the match time for friendlies are moved forward by one hour for anyone (because of DST changes in their timezone), then the time for other regular matches will also have been moved.

Just had a quick look, the two friendlies you mentioned above were created for "2023-03-27 06:30:00 UTC" and this never changed in the database. I guess the issue could be that when you joined those matches, you saw that it was at 08:30 (local time) and thinking your regular matches were always at 0800 (local time) you joined it. But you might not have considered that regular matches time was going to change to 0900 (local time) after DST change. Infact if you had checked your regular matches fixtures, you would have noticed that they change to 0900(local time) after DST.

What I can do now to solve this, is to manually change the time for your confirmed friendlies. But for that I need the consent from your opponents too, just to make sure they too do not have an issue with the change. It would be helpful if you can check with your opponents about it, and create a support ticket for this issue.

New to this game so this post could be in the wrong place - apologies in advance if it is.
My question:
Is there an optimum number of players to have in your team? I have 26, is that too many / not enough / about right?

I think 22 is ideal for new teams whilst facilities are low level. 11 first teamers & 11 reserves for your friendly or custom cup games.
As you develop your facilities you can afford to carry more players but with low level facilities and some players getting very little match time, they won't develop and as such your wasting development opportunity and spending money on wages that could be avoided.

The changes to xp and stamina this season have potentially changed the optimal squad size but to be honest I've not seen anything to suggest that it isn't still a case of the fewer the better.

Minimum is 18 and if it wasn't for the restriction selling to buy when you're at 18 I'd say that was the optimal figure.

I'll be selling down to close to that at the start of next season. I had held some strong-ish players that aren't my best prospects in case the stamina changes meant you needed to rotate players more, but it doesn't look like it has to me so I will try and convert them into a top trainee.

Unless you want to loan 2 players out. If you do want it then 18+2=20.
And a couple of backup players for cover when bad luck strikes as injuries or suspensions (you can get them in on loan too)

So at least 20 required. I keep around 23-24 but only 14 of them actually get playing time (unless somebody is injured, suspended or really low on fitness). The rest are used as backup for playing non-xp matches

Player with 3.5 potential, does this mean he can reach max player rating of approx 70 or could he go higher than that ? To 80+ ?
Just asking based on recent changes in terms of ratings & exp.

His rating can reach 70ish if he gets 70+xp. But rating only says about key skills, he can still develop secondary skills to 70+ too which will make him a better player than an 80+ rated one with low secondary skills. Secondary skills means marking, tackling for AMs, passing, set pieces for CBs etc. And stamina of course for everyone. I can also safely assume that the impact of these have increased since the last update

Heading and Stp for AM, are useful too, some of my am's attempt a lot of headers and scored, Some Goals from Headers

Even shooting for CB can be useful Because of A rebound on Corners
Or dribbling on DM'S to avoid losing ball and Starting a dangerous attack, same for CB'S dribbling, also The Striker'S marking/tacking Maybe they can Do ball recover on The Opposite Half, this one i haven't Tried it, But I Think Is Very Useful to have good secondary skills of +50, even if The Main ones are never Being more than 70 or 75

But well, I have not proved All of this theories, The Tackling for CF's and WF's one Is the one i'm not sure, But thinking its true

I don't doubt you are right but it's annoying that they don't get reflected in the ratings.

How important is the "set pieces" parameter?

From the tutorial and what have been discussed before:

Set pieces is important for both set piece takers and receivers. For set piece takers, it improves the delivery of your freekicks and corners.

For receivers, the importance is "relative" to the same attribute of your opponent players who is taking part in the attacking and defending setpiece actions. If your players have high value and the opponent is low then you have a big advantage in scoring from corners and freekicks, and vice versa.

Has the number of requests to move leagues calmed down now Tegimus or will there be as many moving this year as the last couple of years?

It would be great to see a move request summary somewhere.

Yes, number of requests to move leagues has calmed down now. Only 3 teams requesting a move for next season.
There were a lot of minor updates that were rolled out over the course of this season. Most of them were technical and intended for improving performance of the game, so didn't feel they needed to be announced exclusively. So no major changes are scheduled for start of next season. But there will be a couple of new features ready for Season 26, will announce them next season.

The "sponsor offers" situation is increasingly ridiculous. In my predictions, I'm going to get 10 million less!

It's a disaster
